Holotropic Breathwork is a powerful and transformational breathing method that uses sound, movement and deeper breathing to allow each participant to access the innate healing power that is available in the deeper levels of their psyche. Experiences can include release of energetic blocks in the body and a strong union with the universe. In terms of quantum theory, participants “transcend the ego-identity of ordinary consciousness” (Goswami, Quantum Physicist, “The Visionary Window”, p. 169).
More specifically, many participants report that the breathwork workshops and seminars support them in reframing their reality in a way that supports them instead of holding them back. Although each participant has a unique experience, it is impossible to predict what result a specific person will gain from a breathing session, many participants report that over a series of sessions these “breakthrough experiences” allow them to feel more connected to others and themselves, have more clarity regarding their purpose in life, unleash their creativity, and to be more engaged in life and/or more self expressed.
ॐ THROWING SHAPES: The Inter-Relations of Core, Arm Balances, and Inversions
A detailed breakdown of seven core strengthening and opening practices and application of an awakened core including up to fifteen arm balances and inversion poses. With each pose we will learn how to observe, understand and relate in a meaningful way with effective verbal and hands–on cues to students who exhibit different challenges and tendencies in each particular pose.
This workshop covers benefits, risks and contraindications, alignment principles and energetic actions. We also cover how and from what vantage point to best observe and demonstrate helpful modifications including the use of props and variations for students who can go farther.
ॐ CONNECT TO YOUR ROOTS ORGANIC FLOW
This practice is a vinyasa flow with a focus on grounding. There will be a series of grounding postures with unique strength building sequences, balancing postures and the break down of a few advanced variations followed by pranayama and meditation.
ॐ SOUL GROWN OCEAN INSPIRED VINYASA FLOW
This practice is all about fluidity in motion. Emphasis is placed on connecting to the fluidity of the yoga postures with creative sequencing. The goal is to develop core awareness and strength along with some advanced variations, pranayama and meditation.
ॐ YIN YOGA WITH YOGA NIDRA / GUIDED MEDITATION
Body Scan Meditation A slow-paced style of yoga with postures that are held for longer periods of time (Five to ten minutes per pose). Yin yoga postures apply moderate stress to the connective tissues, tendons, fascia and ligaments to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility. This is a more meditative approach to yoga. Yin aims at cultivating awareness of one's inner silence, bringing to light a universal interconnecting quality.
ॐ HATHA VINYASA
A slow and skillful flow with simple yet challenging postures along with graceful and deliberate ways to move in and out of the sequence. The postures are held longer than usual to connect with breath and bring more awareness to stability while developing strength and stamina. This workshop will connect with your breath and body, move beyond your thoughts and align you with your inner peace leaving you with a revitalized sense of well being and comfort.
All classes are available to all levels of practice with options to simplify and modify or advance further in to the postures with step by step guidance from the instructor.
